Updated 3 June 09:

I have found that there is an absolute drought of good link pages for Vintage Oil-Cooled Suzukis. This link page will hopefully alleviate some of those problems. I hope to compile the most comprehensive set of links plus reviews for the Oil-Cooled Suzuki enthusiast. If you know any other useful sites that aren't uncluded, please let me know.

Vintage GSXR:

1986 GSXR-1100 Restoration Page: Dave Pawlikowski has built the ULTIMATE page for restoring an first generation GSXR. If you are looking to do some work on yours, or need some repair tips, this is THE page to check out. I could not have done a page better myself! This page really is NICE!

Original GSXR Articles: Want the original magazine articles on your old GSXR? These guys sell bound editions for them! It includes ALL known articles written by the big motorcycle mags of the 80's. A serious time saver and great service for ANY vintage bike!

GSXR Comparo: Cool article written about the old vs. new "Gixxers". The Bonus? They compared them ON A RACE track with Kevin Schwantz as one of the pilots. OOOH YEAH! You gotta read this one. Excellent GSXR history there as well.

PARTS (New):

American Performance Engineering: The standard for High-Performance parts for any sport/superbike. I have been buying stuff there for years. Service is great, and the parts, well totally KILLER!

Baker Precision: Carry a complete line of Earl's oil lines/coolers. A must if you want to race a vintage GSXR. Steel braided oil lines were standard in the GSXR Yoshimura Race Kit.

Bike Bandit: OEM (yes, OEM!!) and aftermarket parts! Contains search engine for Vintage GSXR OEM parts/numbers (scanned microfiche, really HANDY). Aftermarket parts for vintage GSXR include EBC front brake rotors, Race Tech Gold Valve Cartridge Emulators, sprockets, Tsubaki cam chains, and EBC Clutch Kits. NICE SITE!

Competition Werkes: Yep, they still make fender eliminator kits for vintage GSXRs!

Orient Express: Leaders in motorcycle racing for years. They offer tons of Hi-Po atermarket parts and service for most sport/superbikes. Product line is similar to APE.

Performance Machine: Almost every serious racer in the 80's used the PM "Chicane" wheels. PM still makes calipers, rotors and wheels for vintage GSXRs. Have your $$$ ready.

Ron Ayers: Cheapest OEM parts in the US. Oh yeah, who needs a dealer?

Yoshimura R&D: Suzuki Racing GODS. Not much left for GSXR G/H models though.

PARTS (Used):

Steeles Cycle Salvage: Rick Steele's operation has been in Englewood, CO for I don't know, EVER? They are great to work with, and I have been going there since he and Bobby were running the place by themselves in 1988. Now the place is huge, but the customer service is still GREAT. I recommend them for any used parts.

SERVICE:

OTHER SUZUKI:

Maximum Suzuki: Sean Griffin has compiled one of the best Oil-Cooled Bandit sites PERIOD. Some KILLER information that also pertains to ANY oil-cooled Suzuki. An absolute must for the Oil-Cooled Suzuki fan. Check out Area 51 for the O/C Gixxer section.

Dave Bean: Need pliers and wire after reading the article above? Dave Bean carries the best safety wire pliers at competitive prices. Look under their "Specials" page.
